Daz was joined by historian Mark Wheatcroft from Mark's English History channel to discuss Operation Chastise, also known as the Dambusters raid.

Operation Chastise was a RAF bombing raid carried out by 617 Squadron on the night of 16/17 May 1943 using Barnes Wallis’s “bouncing bombs.” The attack breached the Möhne and Edersee dams, causing devastating flooding in Germany’s Ruhr and Eder valleys, damaging factories, mines, and power stations. Around 1,600 people were killed, many of them forced laborers. Although the Germans repaired the dams quickly, industrial production was disrupted until September. The RAF lost eight aircraft and 56 aircrew, with 53 killed.
