American Civil War

Following the capture of the premier port city in Texas in October of 1862, the Confederates left believe it will only be a matter of time before the Federals push deeper into the Lone Star State. Sensing the crisis building in the Trans-Mississippi, President Jefferson Davis dispatches Maj. Gen. John B. Magruder to Texas to retake the city before the Federals become fully entrenched. Yet, unlike the eastern Confederacy, Texas lacks the fundamental resources to wage a proper war against the invaders. This predicament forces Magruder to be creative and scrounge for anything he can get his hands on. However, he cannot wait long, as the longer he dallies, the longer the Federals have to reinforce and further entrench themselves on the island. Thus, unable to waste much time, Magruder will have to take his chances and go all in with a single, desperate assault to reclaim the island city of Galveston for the Confederacy.
